A consultation with a pediatric nephrologist is recommended if:

• there are urinary symptoms, such as frequent or painful urination;
• abnormalities have been detected in urine test results or a kidney ultrasound examination;
• blood tests show abnormal kidney function indicators (such as urea, creatinine, etc.);
• the child has been diagnosed with glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis, kidney failure, edema, or high blood pressure.
