Dr. Sofija Viļisova is an oncologist and chemotherapist with a distinct specialization in the diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine tumors (NET), gastrointestinal oncological diseases, and lung cancer. She actively participates in international professional education programs and promotes the quality of oncological care available in Latvia.
Dr. Viļisova's professional development is also shaped by extensive international experience. She has participated in practice programs in Italy (Bari, Milan - ENETS Center of Excellence – Humanitas Research Hospital), where she enhanced her knowledge in neuroendocrine tumor and gastrointestinal tumor units. This experience has deepened her knowledge of diagnostics, therapy, and personalized medicine approaches. She regularly participates in international professional training and is a co-author and author of several publications in both Latvian and international journals (Latvijas Ārsts, Doctus, Expert Review of Neurotherapeutics, PLOS One, as well as in ENETS and other international conference materials).
