The doctor provides consultations for patients with abnormalities in blood test results.

The doctor will not provide consultations during the period from 08.06.2026 to 20.07.2026.

During the consultation, the hematologist evaluates the patient’s health condition, reviews blood test and examination results, as well as the medical history. The need for additional examinations related to bone marrow function or other health conditions is assessed. If necessary, additional examinations are prescribed individually for each patient.

The doctor is an active member of the Latvian Association of Hematologists and the European Hematology Association. This ensures that patient care is based on the latest international diagnostic and treatment guidelines.

Preparing for a hematologist consultation

It is recommended to bring the following examinations/results to the consultation (if available):

• complete blood count with erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR);
• biochemical blood tests;
• other examinations, such as:
  
  
  • abdominal ultrasound (USG),
  • computed tomography (CT),
  • other examinations recommended by the doctor.

Additional examinations may be recommended if necessary.

When is a hematologist consultation recommended?

A hematologist consultation is recommended if the following symptoms are present:

• abnormalities in blood test results;
• persistent fatigue;
• elevated body temperature (subfebrile temperature);
• excessive sweating at rest;
• unexplained weight loss without dieting;
• enlarged lymph nodes.

Important information

Please note that test results are considered valid for 2 weeks.

Hematologist consultations are available for patients from 18 years of age.
