About the doctor

I work as a Clinical Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with children (from 11 years) and adults. Psychological counselling and psychotherapy are used to improve well-being and help restore a person's resources needed to function in everyday life and to cope with difficult situations or life stages.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy works in depth with a person's perceptions and behaviour. During therapy, beliefs and behaviours that maintain distress and undesirable situations are identified. The process uses a variety of techniques to promote healthier perceptions and behaviours.

Reasons why people often seek Cognitive Behavioural therapy include:

  • life situations that cause distress and make it difficult to function in everyday life
  • challenging life experiences
  • mental health disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder
  • difficulties with a child’s behavior
