The physician provides anesthesiology consultations and ensures anesthesia care for both adults and children (from 3 years of age).
Before surgery or a planned medical procedure, the physician evaluates the patient's overall health condition, available examination and laboratory test results, medical history, as well as the nature of the planned procedure. An assessment of anesthesia safety and suitability is performed, potential risk factors are identified, and measures to reduce them are determined. Based on this evaluation, the most appropriate type of anesthesia for the specific patient is selected and an individual anesthesia plan is developed.
The physician is an active member of the Latvian Association of Anesthesiologists and Intensive Care Specialists (LARA) and the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC), regularly advancing professional knowledge and basing daily practice on current international guidelines and modern clinical approaches.
